"The room was very dirty in places; the bathroom door didn't shut or lock; the service at breakfast was poor. When we pointed out the problems the staff were very friendly and helpful and apologised profusely and the room was cleaned thoroughly as promised. However the problem with the bathroom door wasn't addressed. When checking out we were given a reduction in our room rate. We stayed in this hotel 6 years ago and returned because we had enjoyed our stay so much. However, had we known to what extent the standards had fallen, we would have stayed elsewhere."
