Beresford Arms Hotel Reviews
"Great place to stay for families. Staff very personalbe and very relaxed environment, but didn't affect the prompt service. Great place for biking, wished we had more time to explore the area, tracks are easy for most riders from Ashbourne to Parsley Hay, becomes more challenging when going from Parsley Hay to Carslington Waters and a few steep hills on the return through bradbourne. The free maps in cycle hire centre were good, but it was a little confusing at Carslington waters as all cycle tracks were 54a with no pointers to destinations. Would use the hotel again and keen to visit the area again. 4 x :o)"

"A very pleasant, warm, welcoming guesthouse. We would have no hesitation in staying here again and would recommend to others."

"We arrived to a very friendly and warm welcome and were even offered a hand to bring up our luggage. Later, after each enduring a cold shower we learnt that it needed to be run for at least 10 minutes before getting warm...thank god it was summer. However, the worst experience and one we won't forget, was being served cold, limp toast at breakfast. We were strongly of the impression this had been left over from at least the day before. This was compounded by the fact that the fried bread served with our full English was rock hard and inedible. Full English was declined the following day for an excellent poached eggs with beans on (this time) fresh toast for myself and scrambled egg and bacon for my partner. While maybe some facilities are in need of repair/replacement ( the shower rail fell off the wall, pillows are old, flat and probably unhealthy ) the service and friendliness of the proprieter and staff was at all times exemplary. Although we would not recommend this hotel at the moment, its potential, especially under the stewardship of the excellent proprietor, is evident."

"The welcome from the proprietor and service from the staff were second to none. The hotel is well positioned for visiting the Peak District and close to the centre of an intersting market town. Convenient car parking to the rear with CCTV coverage."

"A conviently located hotel. However it would be beneficial to know what eating/recreational establishments are available within the immediate vicinity of the hotel."
